Worship & Teaching Pastor Candidate
The process so far.
When we first began our search for a worship leader, we agreed that it could be a part-time role, even a non-ordained role, focused solely on leading our worship team. Although we were able to talk with some really talented candidates, as an elder team, we figured something was missing.
In mid-January, we prayerfully agreed to expand the search to a full-time person who could work a hybrid role, one that focused on worship and teaching in the church. We realized that we needed someone who could truly lead worship and take our music ministry to the next level, and someone who could preach, teach and just generally keep up in partnership with Pastor Todd and the elder team.
We knew going into the expanded search that it would not be easy, and we might even be extending our search out a bit longer. However, God has other plans.
The very next day, Pastor Mick sent us his resume.

We were able to host Mick and Jackie over the course of a weekend. It was immediately clear that he is a fit for our team of Elders and work complimentary with Pastor Todd as we continue our revitalization process.
We were blessed during the weekend to hear Mick sing in person which made our decision to present him to FBC quite easy.
We genuinely believe Mick is the Worship and Teaching Pastor who can help take FBC in the direction for the future as we continue to grow, glorify God and make Disciples.
We are excited to have Mick and Jackie with us in a few weeks.

The Plan
Candidate Weekend
April 6 & 7, 2024
Saturday, April 6 | 2:30 PM
On Saturday, April 6, Pastor Mick will lead worship practice with the Worship Team from 2:30 to 5pm.
The entire church is invited and encouraged to come and listen to the team practice and get a feel for how Pastor Mick leads.
Saturday, April 6 | 5 PM
The entire church is invited to come and meet Pastor Mick, his wife Jackie, and their daughter Emily. We will have dinner together and let everyone mingle, visit.
During this time you will have the opportunity to submit questions to the team for Pastor Mick to answer after dinner.
Sunday, April 7 | 10:45 AM
Pastor Mick will lead worship.
The church will vote on Pastor Mick immediately following worship. The vote will affirm Pastor Mick's joining our Elder Team as our Worship & Teaching Pastor.
- By affirming Pastor Mick, he will begin serving with our church the following day!
