First Responder Appreciation Day

September 11, 2026

CCBA/WMU and supporting area churches will provide meals throughout the day for First Responders.

We are excited to announce our upcoming "First Responder's Appreciation Day" on September 11, 2026. The theme of this day will be "Never Forget". This event is organized by CCBA WMU and hosted by First Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.

September 11 will be the 25th anniversary of the tragedy that took so many lives of those responding to the call for help. On this day we will gather to express our gratitude to local law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, corrections officers, and other first responders who answer the call every day.

To make this possible, we are asking for assistance from the churches in the Association.

  • We will be accepting monetary donations
  • seeking volunteers to serve in a variety of ways.

Your gift helps provide meals, appreciation gifts, event materials and opportunities to encourage these heroes and the families. Together, we can demonstrate Christ's love through tangible acts of kindness and appreciation.

The monetary donations will be accepted in person and online here.

• Under the memo choose "First Responder Appreciation."

Thank you for helping make First Responders Appreciation Day a meaningful expression of gratitude for those who serve our community.

Eliza broadus mission emphasis

annual State missions Offering

September 13–20, 2026

Join us September 13–20, 2026, as Kentucky Baptists pray, give, and go together to fill the gap where lostness is greatest.

Across Kentucky, there are real gaps—families in need, students searching for purpose, churches working to reach their neighbors, and people who have yet to hear the hope of the Gospel.

Through the Eliza Broadus Offering for State Missions, Kentucky Baptists come together to step into those gaps with prayer, generosity, and gospel hope. Inspired by Ephesians 4:15–16 and the beauty of kintsugi, this year’s theme, Fill the Gap, reminds us that God restores what is broken and uses every part of His body to build up the church.

Every gift helps fill a real gap. Every church has a part. Every believer has a role.
