Summer of Prayer In the book of Acts, 25 of the 28 chapters show us what happens when God’s people pray. Prayer wasn’t a side activity for the early church—it was the engine that fueled the mission of God. This summer, we’re inviting you to join us as we seek to breathe new life into our own prayers.

• Throughout June and July, we’ll gather every Thursday morning at 7am in the lobby for a dedicated time of prayer. Bring your coffee or breakfast as we spend an hour praying for our church, our mission, our town, and our nation.

Whether you’ve been praying for years or have never prayed out loud before, this time is for you. Come as you are. Let’s seek the Lord together in this Summer of Prayer. "

AUGUST

Bridge of Hope Fellowship is hosting Men’s Fight Club workshops. Every Tuesday night for the whole month will be some fun, interactive , informative and purposeful workshops geared toward Kingdom building unity. Men and boys from 12 and up from everywhere, all churches and denominations are welcomed. Don’t miss out.

All ladies are invited to our Women on Missions meeting where we will hear from current Impact Director and Pastor of Means Avenue Baptist Church, Pastor Buddy Slaughter.

Once per month, in partnership with several area churches, we open up our CLC building for food, showers and other essential types of support for the homeless in our community.

• Living Waters Shower Ministry will have a donation box sitting by the elevator in Lobby. We need the small/travel size bottles only of Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Lotion. These items will be packaged with other shower necessities for the homeless.

• Information to share for those who need this opportunity: Please come by for a shower and meal at the Christian Life Center across the street from First Baptist Church on Main Street. Doors will open at 9:00 AM for shower times followed by lunch at Noon. Join us for a refreshing time for your body and spirit!
