Involvement - Missional Style
Missional living is defined as being “missionaries” in today’s culture. Missionaries are those whose lives are constituted by a mission: to know God and make Him known. Our on-going relationship with God should result in a lifestyle that is God centered and seeks to incarnate God.

CHURCHWIDE MISSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES will be published in the Western Recorder  which includes the church's newsletter "The Good News".  Be involved, develop your Missional style.

FRIEND’S WOM PRAYER GROUP

WHO’S MISSING? WHOSE MISSION?
Reaching the world with the gospel is like a jigsaw puzzle, but with half the pieces missing.  We will get an early start on International Mission Week of Prayer.  We will watch a CD of our Missionaries and pray for them. ALL ladies of the church is invited to come and help us pray for our missionaries, who are giving their lives to help reach the world for Christ. Can you give an hour or two to pray for them?

Founded in 1970 and active around the world, Samaritan’s Purse offers aid to the victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine in response to the teachings of Jesus Christ. The organization is based in Boone, North Carolina, USA, and is headed by Franklin Graham, the son of evangelist Billy Graham- “Operation Christmas Child is a great way to bring joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need of hope.”
A brochure is available in the church office with how to pack your shoe box and gift suggestions.  Each box must include $7 or more to cover shipping and other project costs.  FBC is the drop off location for National Collection Week, November 16-23.

Ideas for gift donations to support Samaritan’s Purse

There are dozens of ways you can support Samaritan’s Purse to save lives and ease suffering in the Name of Jesus.  A few suggestions would be:
  • Honey Bees for $30:  Families can sell honey and beeswax.
  • Life-Saving Mosquito Nets for $10: Many children under 5 die of malaria each year.
  • Baby Chicks for $14:  When full grown, chickens or ducks can produce  eggs, plenty to eat, share or sell.
Regular meeting time is Wednesdays, 6:15 p.m.
